Vintage Tip Toe Porcelain Courting Couple Shoe Clips Silver Tone

Vintage Tip Toe shoe clips featuring domed porcelain or ceramic medallions with colorful courting-couple scenes. Each round medallion is framed by an ornate silver tone openwork border with scrolling floral details. These substantial, chunky shoe clips have noticeable weight and romantic Rococo Revival styling.  The shoe clips measure approximately 1 7/8 in diameter. Due to their substantial weight, they may be best suited to structured shoes or sturdier uppers rather than very lightweight materials.  Each has a hinged metal clip on the back and is signed TIP TOE PAT. PEND. The reverse of each ceramic medallion is impressed F-34, likely a mold or pattern number.   Estimated circa 1950s to 1960s.  Excellent vintage condition with minor age-related surface wear as shown. Both clip mechanisms open and close properly.
