Vintage Andenken an Hallstatt Austria 7 RPPC Postcard Set Salt Mine Souvenir

Original vintage Hallstatt, Austria souvenir postcard packet containing 7 black-and-white photographic postcards, all retained with their original illustrated “Andenken an Hallstatt” envelope.  The envelope features two heraldic shields, including crossed mining tools, reflecting Hallstatt's centuries-old association with salt mining.  The seven postcards depict Hallstatt and the historic Salzberg/salt mining area, including:  Hallstatt village and lake scenery Hallstätter Salzbergbahn Salzberg mountain transportation Historic salt mine entrance Visitors exiting/riding through the mine Traditional mine slide Mountain and valley views  Several cards are marked “Echte Photographie” (real photograph) and have German captions identifying the locations and attractions.  All seven postcards are unused/unposted. Some have handwritten location identification on the reverse.  The postcards feature attractive deckled/scalloped photographic edges and appear consistent with approximately the mid-20th century, likely 1950s–1960s.
