Vintage MCM Brutalist Artisan 925, 22k Gold Black Tourmaline Shield Necklace

This gorgeous Modernist/Brutalist statement necklace is not shy. It is 18 inches in length plus the pendant adding almost another 2 inches to it. The pendant is a gorgeous shield shape sterling silver carved and textured design with fused 22 karat gold on surfaces of it. It is hand scribed, signed on the back with the jewelry designer’s name, Andi and includes SS for Sterling silver and 22K for the 22 karat gold areas that are fused.  The individual stones appear to be black Tourmaline or black volcanic stone. The rough texture is almost faceted and reflects light and the design of the pendant beautifully. In between each of the stones is a flared tube shape, each of them handcrafted, to separate each element beautifully. At the end of the necklace is a sturdy heavy Sterling chain finished with a lobster clasp. This may be a tribute piece to Monique Péan’s NCT104R collection.
