Vintage Olympus Movie 8 VX-803-U 8mm Camcorder Sakar Case Papers AS-IS

TESTING: The matching Olympus VF-BA82 Video AC Adapter was connected during testing. The adapter/power indicator blinks, but we were unable to get the camcorder to power on using this setup. We do not know whether the issue is with the AC adapter, the camcorder itself, or another component. Because we do not have another compatible power source available, no further testing was performed. The camcorder may be functional with a proper working power source, but this cannot be verified. Includes the Olympus VX-803-U camcorder, VF-BA82 Video AC Adapter, Sakar padded carrying case, RCA Video Light VDC88, cables/accessories, manuals, instructions, and other items shown in the photos. A particularly nice feature of this package is the ORIGINAL 1989 PURCHASE DOCUMENTATION. The paperwork is dated October 5, 1989, from Sunshine Cameras in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It identifies camcorder serial number D9HS02310, which MATCHES the serial number on this camcorder. The surviving sales documentation shows an original purchase total of approximately $1,140.70 in 1989. This original paperwork is included and provides excellent provenance and period history for the set. Camcorder, case, accessories, and paperwork show age-related cosmetic/storage wear. Please examine all photos carefully for condition and exactly what is included. IMPORTANT: Because we could not successfully power on and fully test the camcorder, the entire package is being SOLD STRICTLY AS-IS / FOR PARTS OR REPAIR.
